Back to Buddha’s Delight
Buddha’s Delight encore, originally uploaded by treknpaddle.
I’m back in Boston, which is pretty exciting, as there are old friends I am excited to see. I’m teaching a Wilderness First Aid at a local private school in town, and then I am going to have another day of medical studies. I’m happy that I’ve managed to schedule these study dates when I’m actually in town, and I have a special thanks to extend to the folks at the Joslin Diabetes Center for reworking everything just so that I could avoid having to drive into Boston.
This meal is called the ‘Bird’s Nest.’ It’s a cornucopia of vegan fake meat/ veggie based protein with some broccoli and water chestnuts all piled into a nest crafted out of taro root.
Plus I had my favorite dessert, which is essentially banana, sweet rice and black beans rolled into banana leafs and baked and made wicked tasty. Mmm…

As a New Hampshirite living in Philadelphia, I miss hearing people say (or write) “wicked”- you made my day with “wicked tasty”. I may just have to try this banana concoction next time I’m in Boston!
